Thirty of the finest drawings
by students In American univer
sities and colleges are on display
this week In the rooms of the
department of architecture in a
traveling exhibit sent by the Na
tional Association of Collegiate
Schools of Architecture.
The clrowings show the modern
trend In architecture nsperinlly
along the lines of glass brick and
concrete buildings. Among the
interesting works of the collec
tion are the plans of "A Univer
sity," "A Yacht Club." "A Casino
Beach Club," "Air Terminal," "Ar- i
tists' Colony," and "A Zoo." One I
of the most exceptional drawings
is one of a "Japanese House,"
drawn on a Chinese wall panel
in Chinese ink.
Among tho universities that are
represented by their architecural
designs are Notre Dame, Univer
sity of Southern California, Uni
versity of Texas, Alabama Paly
technical Institute, , New York
University, Yale, University of
Minnesota, University of Illinois,
and Cincinnati Tech. :

velvet, shirred from waist to
shoulders and caught with bril

wear red and silver sandals nnd
a black velvet wrap with a white
fur collar.
Virginia Hyatt, Gamma Phi
Beta, chooses black net, em
broidered with silver daisies, to
wear at the Ball. Made with cap
sleeves ami a peplum, the dress
is accented by a gay green velvet
sash and mulching; velvet bow
at the neck.
Miss McDowell in Silver.
Blight blue crepe shot with
silver metallic and trimmed with
red velvet is the gown selected
by Virginia McDowell. Alpha
Delta Theta. In the baiter neck
style, the formal is fitted to the
waist, nnd flared to the floor,
Accessories are silver,
Tri Delt Betty Van Home will
wear a gown of antique gold
velvet, with a short train. The
dress Is fitted and sleeveless with
a short matching velvet cape.
Bronze clips will accent the
draped neck, and bronze will be
the color of the sandals nlso.
Strewn with clusters of black
Sequins, Alpha Phi Chaiienc
Omen's black taffeta gown dis
plays a wide swing skirt. Powder
blue velvet ribbon fastens nt the
shoulder straps, the only contrast
ing color of the eoslunie.
Margaret Phlllippe. Alpha
Omicron PI, will wear a red
taffeta formal from whose bril
liant shoulder straps a wide ruffle
follows the outline of the low
back of the gown to the waist
where a taffeta sash ties. Acces
sories are rhinestone combs in
her hair nnd silver slippers.
With a shell pink hammered
satin formal, Ruth Hutchinson,
Zeta Tail Alpha, will wenr nn
American beauty sash nnd slip
pers to match. The gown is cut
on princess lines, with a full
panel in back, and the ends of the
wide sash touch the floor.
Sigma Kappa Mary Carolyn
llollman chooses black net with a
full skirt, a round youthful collar,
and small puffed sleeves. Silver
Is the contrasting note of color in
sandals and clips.
