At any rate eight of the Greek
letter freshman groups decided
that Monday was the night to
leave for parts unknown. Whether

will meet at the chapter house for
luncheon Thursday afternoon.
Plans for the coming year will be
made at a business meeting follow

Barkes-Shields
Announced recently was the en
gagement and approaching mar
riage of Alaire Barkes of Lin
coln to Charles Shields of Omaha.
The wedding will take place Oct.
30. Both are graduated of the
University of Nebraska. Miss
Barkes wus president of the active
chapter of Mortar Board last year
and is a member of Chi Omega.
