Smooth Cars
Grace Campus.
With spring and its accompany
ing sidelights upon us, campus
hoofer's hearts began to yearn for
a smooth convertible, father's good
old bus or even a motorcycle with
which to charm the one and only.
Betty Mayne's brand new yellow
roadster, a product of her spring
vacation trip home is running
George Enger's yellow convertible
a good race for the title of best
looking car. And for those who
are content with "smaller fry" we
recommend George Scott's car,
known as "Lloyd'' or that black
shiny sedan of Bob Funk's. Chi
Phi's latest creation which out
screams Al Clark's cream and
green job is attractively painted
orchid and as if this were not
enough alone has a delicate scarlet
trim. And if the gal friend likes
fresh air and scenery, do your best
to borrow the scarlet and cream
motorcycle which Hank Amen has
been sporting, these many months.
the campus, the purchase and
planting of a good-sized tree
would be most beneficial. Within
a few years, the city campus,
particularly the new part, could
be made as beautiful and invit
ing as the older wooded see! ions.
If such a tree were planted near
Bessey hall, he quaranted to see
to its watering.
One faculty member was
afraid the students might decide
on "nut" trees. Even weeping
willows might be appropriate
around some offices, but to Dr.
Whitney, any nice tree would be
desirable.

Dr. D. D. W nitnev. chairman

doesn't grow so well here, anil
besides, the campus is in much
greater need of fine big trees
