tury and 220-yard dashes. "Speed"
registered a new meet time of 9.8
seconds in the 100-yard dash at
Manhattan last Saturday, and
brought home the furlong in 22.4.
An injured leg muscle has troubled
him this week, but is improving
under Trainer "Doc" McLean's

received until 5 o'clock today in
clude 25 student council positions
and 3 publication board posts. Fil
ings are to be made at the student
activities office in the coliseum In
person.
While no specific rules were
listed regarding eligibility of can
didates for publication board posi
tions, it was understood that ad
herence to the 12-27 rule would be
sufficient.

is third. About 300 petitions are
still out, however, it was stated.
