SUNDAY, MARCH X 1W. FOUII i I !'. IJAIl-T rWJtHAMsIM I.- . . : , t INNOVATIONS FOR THE '35 JUNIOR- 1 Senior prom arc appearing in grout' iiiiinbors around the campus. Tlio latest, at leant runior lias it so, is that tlio )roin committee will assemble at a little gath ering, no date dinner is tlio technieul term, we believe, hefore the hig event. Strange as it may seem, the arhitcrs ol' the biggest party of the year will go to dinner with one of their own membership, and then appear at the prom with the real date of the evening. On the surface it looks very innocent ami "motiveless," but we're Milling to bet that it's just a subtle method of having two dates for one event, and making it look quite conventional. ANOTHER GROUP of Kappas and their dates were entertained at the home of Margaret Straub. Guests included Marjorie Souders, Don Shurtleff, Elizabeth Kelly, Johnny Jenkins, Virginia Selleck, Chuck Flansburg, Tyler O'Connor, Eddie Cannon, and Hank Kosman. Sweet peas and tapers in pastel shades decorated the dinner table. o THE A. T. O.'S set quite a pre cedent when they announced the engagement of Bill Garlow and Jean Davies, so good, in fact, that at the Alpha Slg dinner dance Fri day night, a rather latent an nouncement of Bailey-Livingston pin hanging made its appearance. Besides that little bit, that cer tainly added to the great success of the formal, dates of Alpha Sigs were presented with corsages of red roses, and dancing to the music of Eddie Jungblulh was featured between coureses. DINING AT the University club last night before the Kappa for mal, were Kappas and S. A. E.'s. Kay Davis, Bill Stenten., Jeanio Hu.se, Duve Powell, Helene Wood, and Jerry Hunt. AND AT THE Lincoln, Jean Rowe, Lindly Ryan, Mary Heaton, Jim Howell, Helen Jane Johnson, Ray Riggs, Ruth Mallory, Lynn Martin, Druscilla Davidson, Bill Marsh, Margaret Blaufuss, and Dick Mordaunt gathered to cele brate the same event at dinner. For the benefit of those who have not heard about the great trag edy, DeeGee wandered away one day, and has not been see, at least to our knowledge, since. The loss is felt strongly, and contributions in the shape of new terriers, or the same one, would probably be appreciated.
