Mr. and Mrs. Martin L. Peder sen announce the engagement and . approaching marriage of their daughter, Lois, to Dr. Knute O, Broady of Lincoln. The wedding will take place Dec 28 at the home of the bride's parents. Miss Pedersen is a graduate of the Uni versity of Nebraska from where she received her master of arts de cree in 1932. Ray Frer ichs, president of the fraternity, will conduct the dedicatory service after the presentation of the pig. Floral decorations will be used on the tables and there will be danc ing between courses of the dinner. Chaperones will be Dean and Mrs. J. E. Rossignol, Mrs. Clara Skiles Prouty and Mrs. Lola Hood. One of the most interesting en gagement announcements of the year was made Monday evening when Gertrude Clarke, Alpha Xt Delta of LaGrange Illinois, and Clarke Skade, Pi Kappa Alpha of Lexington, passed the candy and cigars. Miss Clarke is chairman of the vocational guidance committee and has charge of vespers. She is a member of Mortar Board, women's honorary. "Chuck" is business manager of the Cornhusker, was a member of the Junior-Senior prom committee last year, served on me Inter-fraternity council and was admitted to the Innocents' society last spring. Tri Delts Give Tea. Miss Grace Spacht, Baptist stu dent secretary of the University of Nebraska entertained at an annual informal party Saturday evening, for the students who remained here during the holidays and for the Lincoln Baptist students. Thirty-five guests attended. Re freshments were served late in the evening. Formal Is Announced. Three hundred couples will at tend the Phi Kappa formal Satur day evening at the Lincoln hotel. Among the chaperones will be Col. and Mrs. F. A. Kidwell and Miss Lydia McMahon, the house mother. Richard Blankenship is in charge of the arrangements. DEBATERS TO DISCUSS UTILITIES REGULATION (Continued from Page 1.) still tentative. The question for the first semes ter will be: Resolved; that the fed eral government should enact leg' islation to provide for the federal control of electric power utilities, The team taking the affirmative side of this question will make a trip through Iowa Dec. 13 and 14, The team will debate the Univer sity of Iowa at Iowa City at 9 a. m, Dec. 13 and this debate will be broadcast over station WSUI. That evening the team will debate Coe colleire at Cenar Rapids. The negative team at the same time will make a trip through Kansas and Arkansas. There will be a radio debate with Kansas State college at Manhattan on Dec. 13 at 10 p. m. which will be broadcast by station KSAC. There will be another debate with the University of Arkansas at Fay etteville on the following day. This debate will be published in the 1933 number of the University Debater's annual. The tentative plans for the sec ond semester call for debates with local institutions on the question of the cancellation of the inter-al lied war debts. The proposed schedule includes debates with Cotner college and Missouri Nor mal college at Marysville, with which Nebraska will also have two home debates on Feb. 23. The University of Wyoming will come to Lincoln on March 20 and 21, and the University of South Dakota will meet Nebraska in Omaha March 31. Iowa State col lege will come to Lincoln for a de bate at a date not yet decided. Nebraska will enter a team in a tournament among several of the middle western schools to be held in Iowa City on March 1. OFFICIAL BULLETIN Will Attend Ball.
