RAIN SLOWS UP TIME Oklahoma Strong in Field; ' Nebraska Runners Win Mst Places. Coming: from behind to win the mile relay, the final event of the meet, the Nebraska tracksters edged out the invading Oklahoma cindermen 67 1-3 to 63 2-3 in a thrilling dual Friday afternoon on the Memorial stadium track. With Coach John Jacobs' men leading by a 63 2-3 to 62 1-3 mar gin and the relay still on the pro gram, it was left to England, Storey, Ostergard and Rodgers to clinch victory for the Scarlet and keep the dual record spotless. England, Nebraska, and Mell, Oklahoma, ran almost a dead heat in the leadoff lap, but a poor ex change of the baton and some fine running by Abbott of Oklahoma almost spelled defeat for the Huskers. Abbott had a twenty-five yard lead on Storey when Bob , Ostergard took the stick, but "Osty" came thru with a wonder ful race to give Ralph Rodgers, Nebraska anchor man a few yards leeway. The plucky Rodgers. com peting against Hewett, Sooner ' sophomore flash, who had won the 440 Individual earlier in the aft ernoon, managed to hold the pole when challenged on the final curve, to hit the tape a couple ot The FOUNTAIN of YOUTH THAT'S what they call this place be cause it's the rendez vous of the smart younger set . . . before the show, after the show, at lunch time; at any time when swain and sweetheart meet to regale them selves with delightful refreshment.
