TO BE DECIDED TODAY

Dubry, Eastridge Champion
To Meet Koolen, Victor
At Antelope.
Hildreth and Johnson Play
For Honors in Second
Flight.
The all university golf cham
pionshipa in the three flights will
be decided today over the Pioneer
Park golf course with Dubry play
ing Koolen; Hildreth taking on
Johnson and Oettings meeting
Cropper. These men gained the
right to compete by winning their
respective flights either at East
ridge or Antelope courses.
In the finals of flight one at
Eastridge Dubry defeated Gelwick
while in the second flight Hildreth
took Klaurens and Oettings beat
Jfoyes in the third flight. In the
Jfcrst flight at Antelope, Koolen
Afckok Calvert's measure, and John
fn beat Schmidt in the second
flight. The third flight saw Crop
per defeat Dye.
Fifty men entered the six flights
of the summer session golf tourn
ament which began about the first
,of July. In the first round of the
first flight at Eastridge, Dubry de
feated Prince, while Clem lost to
Weff and Gelwick took Colson.
Starkebaum won over Thomas. In
the semifinals Dubry again tri
umphed, this time over Webb,
while Gelwick was beating Starke
baum. In the finals, Gelwick lost
to Dubry.
The second flight, also at East
ridge, saw Kiffian dropping his
match to Klaurens while Jones
was defeating Archerd. Hildreth
beat Lehman and Bittner dropped

semifinals Klaurens beat Jones
and Hildreth defeated Partridge.
The finals saw Hildreth trium
phing over Klaurens.
Oettings beat Jimmerson in the
first round of the Eastridge third
flight while Miller was taking
Young. Bowers won over Ken
tapp. Owing to the extra number
of men in this flight, Noyes beat
Binfield in nine holes to win the
right to play the winner of the
Hungate-Liebendorfer match, also
nine hole. Noyes defeated the
winner of this match. In the semi
finals Oettings again triumphed,
this time over Miller, while Noyes
took Bowers' measure. In the fin
als Noyes dropped his match to
Oettings.
At Antelope, in the first round
-of flight one, Lieben defeated Day
and Koolen took Prucka. Byers
won over Lensen and McProud
lost to Calver. In the semi-finals
Lieben and Koolen met with the
latter winning. Byers was unable
to stop Calvert and the latter went
into the finals playing Koolen, by
whom he was defeated.
The second flight at Antelope,
saw the Huff-Webster match in
which Huff won. Schmidt took
Gegier and Panter won over Mc
Cormick. Lightbody dropped his
match to Johnson. In the semi-

The last baseball workout for
the summer student men will be
held on the playing field south cf
Teachers college next Tuesday eve
ning from 6:30 until dark. This
game will be under the direction
of Verne Jones and every man in
school is welcome to come out and
play because no definite teams
have been chen up and everyone
will get an opportunity to play
More than a hundred men have
availed themselves of this oppor
tunity for a recreational get to
gether which has been under the
direction of the student executive
committee. Up until the close of
the six weks session the games
were under the direction of Art
Jones but with his departure Verne
Jones took charge of the workouts
Equipment was furnished by the
committee in charge. Several
games were scheduled with munici
pal league teams but owing to con
flicts with night classes, and other
summer session affairs, only one
game was played, that with Have
lock on the drill field. Havelock,
altho supplied with several sum
mer session students for its team,
was defeated 6 to 5 in an eight
inning battle; the score stood 5 to
5 at the close of the regular seven

first round of the third flight with
the latter winner. Guthrie won1

Cropper defeated Ritchey, thus
winning the right to compete in
the finals which was won by Crop
per.

Helen, Edith Mamie Sundell and
Glenn W. Hildreth are registered
fnorn Oakland. Harriet Cull will
teacn at Alliance ana bjuitn M.
Sundell will be at Harvard. Mr.
Hildrethe will continue his teach
ing at Oakland.

Flora May Kragh Is the only
student from Curtis. Miss Kragh,
junior, 1 taking nurses training at
the college of medicine in Omaha
Three students are enrolled from
Moorfield. They are Mable Hat
tie Walther. a graduate student
who will teach at Orleans; Marie
Pearl Walther, senior In the col
lege of arts and sciences, and
Earnest Ralph Collins, senior in
Teachers college who will teach at
Moorefield.
Cecil Lillian Easton is the owly
student from Maywood. She Is a
sophomore in Teachers college
and will teach at Roscoe.
Four women are registered from
Eustis. Mabel Viola Dalse, a fresh
man who will teach at Lexington,
and Lydia Dorothy Hueftle, a
senior, are taking work in Teach
ers college. Martha Rose Lauer
is a graduate student and will
teach at Bartley. Alma Pauline
Holbein, who is nof counted among
those from Frontier county for,
altho living near Eustis, her home
is located in Dawson county, is a
senior in Teachers college.
Myrtle Evalyn Colton and Grace
Estella Heater are from Oraflno.
Both are freshmen in Teachers
college. Miss Colton wiwll teach at
Stockville and Miss Heater will be
at Holbrook.
