feasibility that Nebraska may
meet Dartmouth In football In
1931 has caused a fluiry of in
terest on the Nebraska campus,
rittsburgh la the only eastern
team on Ihe 1030 schedule and
Cornhusker lans are anxious to
see how Nehiaska compares with
some of the stronger teams In the
east.
Athletic Director II. D. Cihh dis
closed the fact several days ago
that Nebraska waa negotiating for' eastern trips,
such an agreement, which would
bring Dartmouth to Lincoln in
1031 and send Nebraska to Han
over the following year. Head
Coach Bible and K. K. Hall, a
prominent alumnus of Dartmouth
who also act on the national rules
committee with Bible, rfxve also
been corresponding on the same
auhiect.
The chief difficulty In schedul
ing gamea with far eastern teams
In tbe past years has been the un
willing attitude of these teams to
sign on a home and home agree
ment. Numerous teams have been
approached and are willing to
schedule a iimt for one year if
Nebraska will journey east but are
reluctant to give a return game.
Nebraaka'a attitude In the mat
ter la one of "watchful waiting"
and athletic authorities are unwill
ing to divulge the proceedings un
til arrangementa have been com
pleted. Negotiation have been
under way for aeveral months but
the contracts nave not been fi
nally signed as yet.
