The Institute for Social Workers under the direction of Professor Frank J. Uruno of Washington University in being held thia year from July 28 to Aug. 8. Tbe In stitute ta primarily for those who lire Actively interested in the field, either from the standpoint of vol unteer service, board membcra of social service organizations, mem tera of other professiona who de alre to know something of the cose work method, or the paid and trained social worker. It Is also open to selected sociol ogy majors who will find tbe course valuable in orienting them si Ives in the field of social case work. The course is sponsored by the university extension division as a part of the regular summer school session. This is Professor' Bruno's fourth visit to the University of Nebraska campus, he having conducted the Institute each summer since 1927. He is cne of the outstanding teach ers of social case work of the day, and is prepared to bring to the members of the institute the newest developments .in the field. The subject matter of the course will be family case work, the basic method behind all modern scienti fic effort with defectives, delin quents, dependents and the other wise unadjusted.!
