Mrs. Robnett Puts
Personality First
(Continued from Page 1)
health and disposition were regarded
as particularly important in home
making.
"There is an element of salesman
ship which is important in person
ality," Mrs. Robnett stated, "selling
ourselves to our employers and to
the public to get a return, not so
much in money as in appreciation, to
some extent, and particularly in their
realization that we have something
to offer which they cannot find any
where else.
'Don't Overload
"Don't overload," the speaker
urged. "Keep your ability to show
your power, to let your personality
come to the foreground, and to keep
yourself on your toes and energetic
every minute. Let your practical
ambition force your way along so
that you keep constantly ahead.
Emphasizing the importance1 of a
cultivated and pleasant voice, and
neatness in personal appearance in
a successful business career Mrs.
Robnett described a number of in
stances when girls not only lost their
jobs but were unable to get new jobs
because they were careless about
their appearance and not careful to
tone down their voices.
Following the Vespers service Mrs.
Robnett was entertained by the A.
V. S. board at a dinner in Ellen
Smith Hall. She left late Tuesday
night for Chicago.
