THE DAILY NEBRASKAN GRAPPLERS TO IOWA SATURDAY Nebraska Wrestlers to Try Skill Against One of Big Ten's Best The second team to represent the University of Nebraska in sportdom Saturday is Coach Kellopg's Huskcr wrestlinjr team which metis the strong University of Iowa grnpplers t Iowa City Saturday afternoon. The Nebraska wrestling team will leave for Iowa City at 1:15 o'clock: mis afternoon. The Iowans have one of the strong est wrestling teams in the Big Ten and have not lost a match this season. They have won from two Big Ten wrestling teams, beating Minnesota 12 to 9 and Illinois 19 to 6. This will be Nebraska's only match with a Big Ten team this season. The Hus kers are standing fourth in the Mis souri Valley and have lost but one match and that to the Cyclones, win ning the other two conference bouts with Missouri and the Kansas Aggies. Kellogg's lineup is somewhat changed from that which met the Ames grapplers last Saturday. Max Karrer, Benedict, won back his right to represent Nebraska in the 125 pound division when he got the time decision over Carpenter in the final try outs Wednesday night Albro Lundy, light heavyweight won from Verle McBride, Belgrade, with a time advantage in the elimination bouts. The other members of the Corn busker team who will leave for Iowa City are Captain Brannigan who wrestles in the 145-pound division, John Kish, 115; Joe Toman, 158; E. Luff, 135 and Davis and Lundy in the heavy division. The squad that makes the trip will include these sev en men and Coach John Kellogg. No alternates will be taken. IN THE VALLEY . . By . . . The Iowa Stateirs have consist ently produced a winning team in wrestling and from their record so far this season they nave the best team that ever represented the school. ELEVEN TRACK MEN MAKE TRIP Comhuskers Leave Tonight For Annual K. C. A. C. Indoor Classic Eleven men will make up the Uni versity of Nebraska track and field squad which will compete in the an nual Kansas City Athletic Club in door meet at Kansas City Saturday afternoon and evening. The team, accompanied by Coach Henry F, Schulte will leave this evening. Headed by Captain Stephens, the men who will make the trip are, Krause, Hurd, Ashburn, Johnson, Tappan, Campbell, Davenport, Mc Cartney. Chadderdon and either Marrow or Fleming. Stephens will run in the 50 yard dash. Krause will take care of the hurdles for the Corn' huskers. Glen Johnson and Bob Davenport will represent Nebraska in the Shan non Cup race at 600 yards in an at tempt to bring the cup won by Jimmy Lewis last year and the year before back to Lincoln. With Campbell and Tappan, these two men will make up a mile relay team to compete with the fast quartet from Kansas Univer sity. Campbell will lead off with Johnson running anchor on the team. Chadderdon will be the Husker's sole entry in the mile and with Mc Cartney running the two-mile with out a team-mate. Hurd and Ashburn will work in the shot put Marrow or Fleming will be taken for the high jump.
