It sold for one dollar per pound,
and was bought by the Colorado &
Southern Railroad Company. . It
weighed 1190 pounds. It won the
$300 cash prize offered for the
Grand Champion carcass at the show.
The University of Nebraska sold
sixteen' steers and they sold at the
high average price of twenty-one
cents per pound.
"This is the fifth consecutive year
the University o Nebraska has had
the Grand Champion carcass at the
National Western Livestock Show,
and it is rather uncommon for an
Aberdeen Angus steer to win such
high honors there," said officials of
the animal husbandry department at
the College of Agriculture.

of chemistry, inspected the brick
plant at Nebraska City last week.
Dr. Condra was also at Unadilla and
Syracuse part of the week to re
check the soil survey in that tLVrict.
