Dance Drama of Youth To Be
One of Features of Round' Up
Scores of g3y costumed dancers
flitting about the green of the Uni
versity Stadium Saturday afternoon,
will be one of the most vivid of the
many brilliant pictures presented be
for the throngs of the Fourth Annual
Cornhusker Round-up, Thursday,
Friday and Saturday. This will be
the dance drama for which the Wo
men's Athletic Association of the
University has been working for
weeks.
Youth, grace ami melody will min
gle in the soft May sunshine, to bring
back to the visiting alumni memories
of carefree college days and fantastic
hints of fairy-tales long forgotten.
A charming theme is carried out, in
which groups of youths and maidens
represent the seasons, as a back
ground of exquisite movement and
delightful color harmony to the rhy
thmic interpretations of the Youth
Who Hears the First Lark, the Cro
cus, the Elf, and the Sun. Solo
dances of intricate grace will vary the
picturesque group numbers.

Crocus and the cast of characters
follow:
Through all the swaying summer.
Lanquor-laden.
The Crocus lingers on.
We see ber now, clad in brown
husk.
She sadly dances
A sad farewell to summer.
The drifting leaves and swirling
winds.
Of gorgeous Autumn.
Cover her dose, from the harsh
Embrace of Winter.
An impish Elf, in childish glee
Impudently mocks the little flower
For ber misfortune.
Over ber wintry bed
The skipping Snowflakes dance
And the eharpe-tongued voices of
the Winter Wind
Gibber and Shriek,
And still she slumbers on.
Then, in the rosy Dawning of a
perfect day.
The first of Spring
Comes the new song of the Lark
Melodius. clear.
Soon the worm sun-rays of Spring
Awaken the Crocus
To dance with the Sun.
Srring is here!
And with it come
bringing
Gay nosegays of bright flowers,
and swaying dancers with swinging
Garlands of gree,
And youths and maidens
Pleasure-eeeking
Enjoying the soft spring weather.
