urday will probably decide the lead
ership of the Missouri Valley confer
ence race for the present at least

The game Friday is sciieduled for
4 o'clock at the Rock Island Park and
the frame Saturday will be played at
10 o'clock so that it will not inter
fere with the triangular meet at the
Stadium.
The Husker team will probably
present its strongest lineup for the
game. Collins, who has been out with
infection, and Patton who has an in
jured thumb, are reporting for prac
tice again and should be in shape for
the game Friday. Harney will play
the position in right field if Collins
is rot in shape.
The bad weather has interfered
with the practice and the pitchers
have not had enough work. All the
men are expected to be eligible for
the game. Coach Kline states that
the team has not lost a man because
of ineligibility in two years.
The team has been practicing hit
ting and fielding in an effort to
strengthen its weak points. Coach
Kline is working the team on plays
which are being used against the
freshmen in a five or six inning game
each day. Kline is also putting the
men through skull practice after each
practice.
Kansas Aggies, will play Nebraska
here Tuesday and Wednesday, May
19 and 20. The Huskers took their
measure a few weeks ago at Manhat
tan by administering a double de
feat. Nebraska will meet Ames in a
two game series at Ames May 22 and
2-3, which will conclude the season.
The Cyclones have a strong team,
having defeated the Huskers in a
fifteen inning game not long ago.

The interest of the Valley track
fans will be centered at the triangu
lar meet here next Saturday when
Kansas, Kansas Aggies and Nebraska
will strive for Valley honors.
Both Kansas and Nebraska can be
counted upon as high points teams,
although the Hufkcrs' strength in
the dashes and hurdles give them the
advantage. The. Aggies seem to be
outclassed. Their main reliance for
points are in the distance events in
which they have some good entries.
This, by the way, should aid the
Huskers in their battle for superior
ity ovar Kansas, as the Aggies may
garner some distance points which
the Kansas squad could use to even
things up with the Huskers' advan
tage in the dashes.
Kimport is the Aggie mainstay in
the half-mile. He does the half con
sistently in two minutes fUt and can
brat this in a pinch. His team mate,
Bnlzer, is a fast man in both the mile
and the two-mile.
Locke is conceded the dashes as his
recent showings at the relays has
proven him to be the fastest century
man in the Valley. Fisher, of Kan
sas, will probably place a close sec
ond in the dashes. Hein of Nebras
ka and Wongwai, "The Flying Fish"
from Kansas, will have a close battle
for third place.
Kansas is conceded a clean sweep
in the high jump. Poor, Graham, and
Ferguson are all doing over six feet
in this event Graham, Kansas cap
tain, who has been leaping over twen
ty-three feet should win first in the
broad jump. These field events will
give Kansas a desirable advantage in
the meet. .
The quarter-mile will be a good
race with four good men competing.
Crites and Scherrich of Nebraska,
and Engle and Rooney of Kansas
have been doing the quarter in fast
time, and it very probable that the
winner of this event will have to rup
it under SO seconds.
Thirtythousand live rabbits, rais
ed at the University of Kansas, are
in transit to Pennsylvania to repopu
late the hills of that state. Each has
a separate compartment on a lasi
train. Game wardens all over the
state of Pennsylvania will receive
the rabbits to be released there.
Changes in the present rushing
rulea, second semester rushing, and
open discussion of any questions con
cerning sororities are matters to be
brought before the last ran-Hellcnic
meeting at Syracuse University. One
change to be considered is that of
shortening the period of silence in
rushing rules to one day.
