Ten Years Ago
Tim Correy, captain of the foot
ball team has issued a call for spring
practice, and will meet the candi
dates for the team next Tuesday
morning. Dick Rutherford will talk
over the plans for spring workouts,
which will start immediately after
the spring recess.
Correy's call 1b expected to bring
out at least fifty men. The loss of
five of last year's veterans from the
team will leave a big vacancy for
those who wish to try out for places
for next year's team.
The Iowa State wrestlers sprang a
surprise on the University of Ne
braska team, when they defeated the
Husker grapplers by a wide margin
last night at Ames. Captain Otou-
palik of Nebraska, was the only
Husker to win his match.1 The other
matches resulted in victories for
Ames by fall decisions.
Five prizes will be given next
week by four business men of Lin
coin to the University students who
can pick out the eight girls that
were elected recently to the Corn'
husker girl's page out of twenty
pictures that will be placed in Harry
Porter's window tomorrow.
OTTAWA UNIVERSITY A ma
trimonial agency has been started in
Ottawa University. Two sophomore
girls guarantee anybody a date for
twenty-five cents.

Need More Money?
We have been repeatedly asked if the positions we have available
for a number of Nebraska students for the summer are open only
to women. Some have asked if only upper-classmen are entitled to
them. No, they are open to all students from the University all
classes, young men and young women with, of course, the proper
qualifications as to scholarship, character, etc.

Hard Words
Conklin Engineers called this "the
Students' Special" because it was "built
to meet the severe stresses of school
and college use."
Which is a scientific way of saying
that here's a pen that will walk right
into the jaws of calligraphy for the
most aggressive logomachist in the
class room.
For men and women, fitted with "the
clip that can't slip" or the gold ring for
ribbon. Try one at your favorite store.
