warfare. The Lincoln girls' cadet
corps will follow this exhibition
with a fancy drill. '
Naval Reserve On Display.
The Naval reserve will give a
short exhibition and then Troop F
of the United States cavalry will
perform their stunts of Cossack rid
ing, hurdling, jumping, and the sa
bre charge. The celebration will
end with the formation flights by
the squadron of planes. They will
give an exhibition of battle man
euvers, commanded by Major C. L.
Tinker.
The celebration will end with the
military ball in the Scottish Rite
Temple and the dance for the troops
at the city auditorium. All mili
tary men will be guests of the uni
versity at the track meet Saturday
afternoon.
Washington team expressed enthusi
asm concerning the meet after look
ing at the track, stated that it was
wonderfully fast. Coach Ryder has
two outstanding stars with him. Beir
in the 440-yafd dash won first in
the meet at Ames last year, while
Blanchard is considered supreme in
the 120-yard high hurdles.
Dr. C. L. Brewer, director of atlv
letics at Missouri University, will be
official referee.
Tickets for the meet are on sale
at Latsch Brothers and at the stu
dent activities office, and may be
secured also from Margaret Long.

from Nebraska, Missouri, and Ames
respectively, will contest for first
honors in the half mile event.
John Kuck, Kansas high school
boy, who under the coaching of Jeff
Petty, former Nebraska catcher, has
become a world's interscholastic
champion shot putter, will give some
exhibition work in the shot put. He
has put the 12-pound shot 57 feet,
, and better, while he can put the
16-pound shot around 45 feet.
Oklahoma, Washington, Oklahoma
A. & M., and Kansas Aggies arrived
Thursday in order to get plenty of
rest for the Friday preliminafrics.
Missouri and Kansas will arrive at
7:30 a. m. today on the Missouri Pa
cific. Ames- Drake, and Grinnell
will arrive by way of the Rock Island
at the same time. The Iron Sphinx,
honorary sophomore organization are
meeting the teams in cars, furnished
free by the Munson Rent-a-Ford
company.

Volz received a bad cut under the
eye in the sixth when a Sooner run
ner bumped into him. Hollings
worth took his place at first and
Eckstrom relieved Collins in right
field.
Mnvea saved the Sooners from a
shutout when he poled a home run
in the seventh. It was a clean hit
over the right field fence.
