Pro-season Kan sas Aggio baseball prospects are the brightest hi several seasons, In the opinion of Coach C. W. Carsaut, who takes his first position as a valley baeball coach this season. Unless the pitching Btaff, which is not overly strong, fails to develop a pair of dependable hurlers, the Wild cats expect to be "up thera" or very close when the season closes. Although a two-foot snow now cov ers the home plate on the new Ag gia diamond, the thirty members of the squad are taking regular work outs indoors and hope to be back out again in a day or so. Eight letter men including two pitchers, Bernard Conroy and Edward Cunningham, are among those receiving uniforms. Although Conroy and Cunningham were the varsity regulars last sea Bon, Henry Karns, a sophomore, is the best looking pitcher at present. Ralph Karns, brother of the twirl er, is showing up flashily at short stop. Burr Swartz, football quarter back, Is expected to win his third letter on first base, and has Arthur Stark, all-Valley halfback, as a com petitor. Lyle Ernst and L. M. Staley, letter man from last year on second, com plete the inflied. Captain Gleen Aikins will play tha season in left field and N. S. Barth, another vete ran, will cover center area. There are several candidates for tba right field berth. Conroy, picther, will probably play that position if he fans to make good on the mound. A letter man for the catching job is among those conspicuous by ab sence, although Corsaut has three promising rooky candidates in A. L. Biehm, W. H. Lutz and D. II. Carter. No cut will be made in the base ball squad during the season, and Corsaut plans to carry a large road team in order to give the "convers" experience for next year, when most of this season's regulars will be gone.
