The relay swimming team will be
several lengths faster in the meet
tonight than in the meet two weeks
ago. Coach Adkins has shifted Kirk
bride to a position on the relay quar
tet and this change has strengthened
the squad materially. The others on
the relay squad are all sprinters in
cluding Capt. F. Hunton, Jack Hun
ton and Shildneck.
The Washington swimmers are in
the top division of Valley conference
swimming. L.ast weeK they deieatea
Ames 46 to 22. Ames won only one
first, place in the entire meet.
Mat Men Grapple Jayhawka.
The Husker wrestlers meet their
first Valley opponents tonight when
they grapple with the Jayhawk bone
crushers at Lawrence. Nebraska de
featcd Northwestern two weeks ago
by winning five matches out of seven
Coach Clapp started the season with
only one veteran, but the squad bids
fair to establish a successful record
before the season is over. The Husk
er wrestling coaches have been work
ing hard with the wrestlers and say
that one of tht best teams in the
west will take the floor against Kan
sas tonight. Seven men are mak
ing the trip to Lawrence with
Coaches Clapp and Reed.
