THE nATT.Y NRBRASKAN To Date or Not to Date! ?? When Sylvester Snooks awoke Monday morning he solemnly swore he would never date again. No never! He didn't care for it. It not only broke a fellow's bank ac count but absolutely wore him out. Now look at him. He had just come through a hard week-end and he felt sure he was ruined for life mentally, physically and financially. He gared at the white ceiling of the sleeping porch and reviewed the events. First, there had been the DeMolay show. He paused and smiled reminiscently. Now, that had been a good show. A fellow enjoyed taking his girl there. There was someth'ng to it. Sighing strangely he proceeded. Friday night the Lyric had received his attentions and how girls could eat. He passed over this rapidly for even the thought was uninful when he remembered the lonesome 30 cents he had left from a beautiful five. And thus, he came to Saturday night and the ran-Hel formal. He straightened out held his breath and figured. After two minutes of rapid calculation he turned over and silently thanked the promoters for barring corsages. Now he'd only have to go without breakfast instead of breakfast and lunch. This cer tainly was a tough life. No, he would never date again: The door opened. "Hey, Syl, tele phone. Some dame wants you to go to her formal." Sylvester was out of bed in a shake and fifteen minutes later he had decided to give the rent-a-Ford company some more business and had already taken an affectionate glance at his tux, leaving until the next Monday morning all worries about breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
