THE DAILY NEBRASKA N In the College World Five men were selected to repre sent the University of Oklahoma in the contest for a Rhodes scholarship this year. Nearly 700 students check books from the library at the University of Oklahoma each day. Oxford University defeated the McGill team in a debase at Montreal last week. The subject for discussion was: "Resolved, That the League of Nations is worthy cf the support of the nations of the world." Miss Marian Rader, who just re turned from a trip, to Europe to re sume her studies at Midland College, states that the entire population in Germany is in a depressed state. The conditions were steadily growing worse, and at the time of her de parture many of the stores in the cities were closing because the mer chants had no more goods to sell. The professional and the middle class are the ones who are suffering the most because they have been completely broken down. It is said that cash pours in as the Y. W. and Y. M. launch drives for funds. That is not here it's in the University of Southern California. Indiana University was host to the Governors' of twenty-nine states. The officials were enroute to a confer ence at West Baden. The Woman's campus organiz ations at the Ohio State University have been sponsoring "Hello Week," This was planned for the purpose of promoting friendlier spirit among girls and broadening acquaintance. During "Hello Week" all girls were requested to speak to one another in an effort to bring about a feeling of good fellowship. A huge stuffed lion, a frying pan, a cartoon by Tom Nast, are only three diversified articles of the hun dreds of manuscripts, pictures and momentoes of all sorts which have gravitated to Roosevelt House, the restored birth place of Theodore Roosevelt. A set of scrapbooks giv ing the carqpr of Mr. Roosevelt as told from day to day in the press, is one of the notable additions received by the Roosevelt Association in . the past year. Two Michigan alumni came via airplane to see the Michigan-Ohio game last Saturday at Ann Arbor, proving the attractions of Michigan footbaal games to alumni. Actual flying time from Denver to Ann Ar bor by way of Toledtf was 16 hours. Seven stops were made during the trip. The men said the trip was made without the slightest danger. Michigan University was an enthu siastic audience to Galli-Leuci's wonderful talent last week. The en tire audience was thrilled by her wonderful abilities. . DRIVES FOR Y. W. AND Y. M.
