Buckl Your Galoshes!
That it, Is correct to buckle your ga
loshes this winter, la revealed by the
Boot anil Shoe Recorder, which finds
that although the streets of Boston
were as dry as In summer the day
after the first snow, "every flapper
in the parade wore a pair o galoshes
and, wonder of wonder, every buckle
was buckled. A year ago that would
not have been thought o. Then buck
les were ornaments, or musical In
strumcnts, for tho nioro they rattled
the more the flapper was pleased
The college flapper is condemnor
pretty widely upon general principles,
as a conspicuous demonstrator of fad.i.
But in college there have beeu, and
there are, customs or fads quite a
queer us wearing galoshes unbuckled,
that have born adhered to riskily by
the men.
A few years ago the college man
who didn't wear his coat, buttoned u!
the top and unbuttoned at the bottom
had forgotten something, lie was a
broher to the "flapper." And really,
we should worry about our chnnclo
now, since New York says rubbe:
boots are not the latest Indiana Daily
