Do you remember when you
: were a kid and you could never get your night
chores done until after dark? How you'd hur
ry home from your football practice, slip in
the back way after supper to meet your maw
and paw on the porch,you could see the fire-works-and
there wasn't any fireworks? Those
were the days of the family wood-shed, re
member 'em?
We find ourselves in very much
the same position now. We, too, are late in
getting started. Our Special Number was the
biggest trick pulled on the campus. The Sta
dium Drive was pulled on the alumni and the
entire fraternity body of the school rallied to
the importance of subscribing their bit and
coming to see the game of the season we've
used every means to show you how anxious
we are that you should be here to help make
this week a grand and glorious success and
now we've reached the point where it's the
fireworks for Missouri and we're out of a pin
wheel the Stadium, but the match has been
applied watch it spin!
