braska. pistol and automatic rifle firing tac
tics, musketry and athletic events
are the chief subjects on the stu
dents' schedule now. Tests of the
students are being conducted as to
their proficiency In the various sub
jects. Among the students who are to re
ceive commissions as second lieuten
ants in the infantry, officers reserve
corps upon completion of the camp is

MISS ANDERSON NOW AT
UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO
Miss Emma N. Anderson, professor
in the department of botany, is now
attending the University of Chicago,
where she is continuing graduate work
in botany. She left for the Chtcago
school at the beginning of the second
session of the summer school, having
taught botany during the first six
weeks.

Nine girls, members of the Phi Mu
sorority at the University of Nebraska,
have leased a cottage at Lake Okoboji
and are spending a vacation of two
weeks there The girls are Sarah
Saunders, Elva Krough, Faith Dunn,
Ruth Codington, Lucille "Palmer,
No-ma Carpenter, Fannie Haight, Mar
garet McMillen and Effie Haight.
