Contemporary Opinion THERE MUST BE INTEREST College people in campus activities are generally regarded by those who are not as people looking for nothing more than personal gain and glory. Just how mistaken is this attitude, the Silent Partner, a commercial maga zine, very clearly shows in the fol lowing: "Success is captured by interest and only held by interest. Interest is the universal instinct of mankind. We must be interested in what we are doing, else we shall do little." Those people who are handling cam pus affairs are the ones who have shown interest in their work and who are continuing to manifest it as time dips by. Their interest In what they are doing must not be confused with selfish interest. It is their Interest in their personal ambitions and present positions that convinces us that they will make good wherever their paths lead from the college portals. Those who have failed to show the "fire" to do things In their adolescence are the ones who very seldom, if ever, make good when age begins to assertiUelf. Get into things.
