The subjects include a wide enough
field to make it possible for all com
petitors to choose a subject in which
they are interested, and with which
they are more or less familiar. Com
petitors are not confined to any par
ticular phase or phases of any of the
subjects. It is the purpose of the
competition to develop a full inter
est in our vital business problems
amongst our future leaders in the
business and stocinj life of this
country.
The conditions for competition are:
All undegraduates who are officially
registered in any college or univer
sity are eligible; manuscripts must
be limited to from 3500 to 5000 words,
typewritten on one side of the paper
and double spaced; any number of
graphic presentationns may be in
cluded in the report; do not put
name or address on the manuscript,
but on a separate slip of paper
mailed with manuscript; no manu
scripts will be returned; a copy
should be kept by the writer if he or
she wishes to retain the composition;
no information bearing on any of the
subjects will be given out by the Bab
son's Statistical Organization; all re
ports must be in, the mail by the
15th of May, 1922. The address of
the Contest Editor is Wellesley Hills
82, Mass.

been a national officer of this fra
ternity for the past four years, and
was re-elected as a member of Ihe
grand council. The leading mining
schools and universities of the Unit
ed States were represented at this
convention. The next convention is
to be held at Golden, Colorado.
While in Pittsburgh, Professor
Schramm visited the School of Mines
of Pittsburgh University and made
arrangements with the dean of the
school for an exchange collection of
minerals with that institution.

Dr. J. E. Kirchman, Professor of
Finance of the Business Administra
tion College, addressed a group of
boys of the Junior Civic League of
the seventh grade of the Lincoln
schools, Thursday morning in the So
cial Science building.
The trip of the boys was linked
up with the study of arithmatic. In
discussing thrift. Dr. Kirchman point
ed out the importance of labor-saving
u..ices and elements of conservation.
Besides giving the students the in
sight into several technical business
matters. Dr. Kirchman discussed.

What is the best way to save? Must

savings in order that one may be
