W. A. A. HOLDS REGULAR
MEETING LAST EVENING
The Women's Athletic association
held its monthly meeting at E'.len
Smith, hall last evening. Pavlda Van
Gilder was elected from the board
to attend the sectional convention of
W. A. A. that takes place at Boulder,
Colo., the first week In April. The
important business of the evening
was the election of the nominating
committer who, with the senior mem
bers of the board, nominate the girls
from whom four will be elected to go
to convention as unofficial delegates.
The three underclassmen on tU" com
mittee are Dorothy Dougan, freshman,
Lois Shepherd, sophomore, Sara Sur
ber, junior.
All the girls who won their first
100 points in athletics tnis year were
taken into the c ,anizatlon.

braska is much ahead of other schools
in this respect, as few girls' teams
play outside the state.
Ten Years Ago Today.
J. G. Smith, SS, spent the day in
Lincoln on his way to New York
city. Mr. Smith was one of Nebras
ka's oldest botanists and was in the
first class which used microscopes.
Six Years Ago Today.
Much agitation was shown over the
single tax. Ten reasons for the sin
gle tax occupied a prominent place
on the front page of "The Daily No-braskan."
