Dr. Clapp, couch of the wrestling team, yesterday issued an additional call for candidates for the wrestllnR team. A number of new men appeared for work yesterday and the class now numbers about fifty men. The wrest ling season is getting away to a fly ing start this year, and p:tbably thrpo meets will be held before the first of February, the usual date for the open ing of the wrestling season. Dr. Clapp attended a meeting of the Western Inter-collegiate Gymnastic, Wrestling and Fencing association, held last Fri day and Saturday in Chicago, at which a revision of the wrestling rules of the association was made. The wrestling class now numbers fifty men, but many mo.e are expect ed to Join the da s before the end o: the week. Anybody who wishes to may attend the clashes and will re ceive one hour credit. The regular class period is from i to 5 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while the team practice is from 5 to 6 on these days and from 4 to 6 on Tuesday and Thurs day. Almost all the veterans of last year's team are back. Captain-elect F. K. Reed, Troutman and Bcngston letter men last year, a:e out, besides a large number of other experienced mat men. G. S. Salter, a member of the team two years ago, maV be out for the team. Altho no definite date? for wrestling meets have been set. indications point to two or possibly three meets before the first of February when the ma reason is usually opened. One or two practice meets will probab'y be held. Nebraska has two year contracts with Iowa and Ames, and meets with thes two schools will be held here, but tho c'ates have not yet been set. Nego tiations are also under way for a dual meet with Oklahoma, and a number of the "Big Ten" schools are beins dickered with in regard to wrestlin? meets, but no plans have been com pleted yet. Nebraska will enter a team in the Western Inter-Collegiate meet to be held at Wisconsin this year. Dr. Clapp attended a meeting of the Western Inter-Collegiate Gymnasti Wrestling and Fencing association at Chicago last Friday and Saturday. Dr. Clapp is the president of this associa tion. At the Chicago session, the as sociation made a number of important changes in the rules, especially in re gard to the time of the Tounds. and in the method of determining the team and individual champions of the associaton. Of the foreign possessions of the United States represented with stu dents at Nebraska, the Philippine is lands claim first honors with eight Hawaii second with six. Other eoun tries register students also. Japan has two students claiming her as their home and Canada, India. Korea and Mexico each have registered one. 306 Nebraska Towns. Three hundred and- six Nebraska towns claim a varying number ol students who are attending the unl versitv. Of these Lincoln has the most with full ten pages of names in the directory. Omaha conies next with tA full pages. University Flace next with seventy-nine names, taking up one-half page, Beatrice claims thirty-nine students, and Columbus, Fiemont and Hastings come close up in the list with thirty odd names. Among the fraternities, Delia Sigma Delta tops the honors with fifty men claiming affiliation while Alpha Sigma Phi conies second with forty-two names. Kappa Kappa Gamma lays claim to the sorority record with for ty-six names although Delta Gamma fcllovs close with forty-two.
