After leaving Forbes Robertson, Mr. Holme went to Berkeley and there di rected at the Greek theater until 10U. The Greek theater is the only one of it's sort in the United States and is under the control of the University of California. At the request of a citizen, the divis ion must investigate and report upon foreign realty sold or offered for sale in Nebraska and investigate and re port upon oil, mineral and gas struct ures and properties situated outsido the state, leases or interests therein or thereon being sold or offered for sale in Nebraska. Cases wherein tho investigations show fraud or misrep resentation in the transaction are re ported to the attorney general for action. Lantern Slides and Motion Pictures. The photographic deparment takes many photographs with whicn to il lustrate the survey activities. It alsj prepares and shows lantern slides and motion pictures of the state's' re sources, industries and institutions for educational and industrial pur poses without the state. The depart ment now has i:bout 100,000 feet of film and several thousand colored lantern slides for general distribution, the users paying transportation charges both ways and returning the fUms and slides in good condition. It is thought that the new studio huildng could be used quite advant ageously in photograplung for -.the i Cornhusker and other publications of '.li University. This department wi.hes to co-operate in every way possible with the faculty an dstudent body and plans are now under way to take group pictures for the Corn husker. It is to be hoped that these plans may work out successfully bo :hat the students may be saved a qreat deal of extra expense. This department serves as a state nformation bureau with respect tc he resources, industries and develop ment of Nebraska.
