OIU'HKUM-Ona Muuhoii and her
manly revue Is the beat act we have
seen In a long time. Msa Munson
dances cleverly and the chorus sings
well. Mr. Holbrook's. "On The Road To
Mandalay" was splendid. This is a
real act.
Cutler and Parker well we suggest
a blue pencil for two of the attempted
jokes. The skit is entitled, "Don't
Make Ale Laugh." The admonition is
hardly necessary.
"La Petite Cabaret," is the mast ex
tiaordinary act by manikins and ex
ceptionally clever.
Kitner and Reaney present a good
black face act and went over big. The
boys have some new ones and can
sing. Gordon and Ame Rica give the
bill an excellent closing act wait for
it. This is the best Orpheum bill in a
good many weeks.

It will be noticed that all of the
Sergeants of the regular army while
drilling the freshmen and sophomores
out on the parade ground have been
carrying sqquare pieces of timber
about two and a half feet long. Many
of the Innocent yearlings have been
shivering in their galoshes on the
supposition that these aforesaid wands
were provided for the purposes of
correction. In many cases this im
pression has probably helped to keep
the weary ones awake and the flagg
ing Interest keyed up to concert pitch.
And yet it is surprisinz how near
some of the unsophisticated ones get
to the truth without really knowing
it. These swagger sticks of undressed
timber are furnished for the pur
poses of correction, although not used
in the same manner as was in vogue
in the dear old district schok The
te-vifying rods are used for the pur
poses of Imparting to the uninitiated

On Tuesday of last week, the Ran
dolph Community Club held an enthu
siastic meeting which was largely at
tended. The question of dragging the
roads was discussed and due to tne
insufficient funds to continue this
work, the community club voted to
buy warrants of the Truck Company
who has been doing this work, in an
amount necessary to do the needed
dragging. v. O. Robinson of Harting
ton wt.s au invited guest and spoke
to the club members on the local tax
siri'stion. Music was furnished by the
Junior band and the La Mar orchestra.
