obtained third place In tlie Alph
Gamma Rho Journalistic contest.
There were fifteen ot the mid west
states colleges competing in this con
test.
The contest was open for every
bonafide undergraduate in these fii
teen colleges of agriculture, who
vould write "a 5,000 word article on
the subject of "The Relation of Agri
culture to the Development of tho
Nation." When the maniiHcrip was
completed by the contestant it was
submitted to the dean of the college
where a local committee of three
selected the two best papers, and sent
them to the scholarship committee of
Alpha Gamma' Rho at the University
of Wisconsin.
Mr. Sass comes from Sarpy county,
where his father is a prominent
dairyman, and one of the officers of
the State Dairymen's association and
director in the Midwest Milk Proilir
ers association.
