INTER-COLLEGE TRACK MEET
HOLDS SWAY SATURDAY
Arts and Science College Will Have
Largest Entry Medical School
Represented.
The inter-college track meet
scheduled for next Saturday afternoon
will be the next big event on the 1921
track calendar. The intei fraternity
meet brought out a largo number of

larger turnout for Saturday's meet.
The Medical school in Omaha will
send down a large delegation of men
to compete ngainst the athletes her?

A local youth was recently fined
$25 and costs fo rimpersonating an
officer. It would appear that they
punish a man now-a-days for doing

Interfraternity Conference Endorses
R. O. T. C. and Urges Membeis
to Support It.
The United States war depart
ment lias assigned three additional of
licers to the Reserved Officers Train
ing Corps of the University. They
are a lieulonant colonel, a major and
a first lieutenant.' These officers wi'l
not assume their duties her; until
next fall. When they arrive Colonel
Moses will have the assistance of six
.commissioned officers. At the. pres
ent time there is only an infantry unit
in this corps of tiie It. O. T. C, bui
im engineering unit may be i.dded
next year.
The department has received an en
dorsement of the II. O. T. C. from the
national in torfra ternity conference, In
eluding representatives from 46 men's
college fraternities, recommending
that all fraternities associated with
tho conference urge tholr membcrr. i

optional. Colonel Moses will be in

to expenses, but others get expense
only.

Vespers tonight will mark the open
ing of the campaign to support the
work of Grace L- Coppock, '05, n.
tional secretary of the Y. W. C. A. in
China. Mrs. K. W. Eddy of the for
eign department of the Y. W. C. A.
national board will speak.
One hundred and seventy-five girls
make up the teams which will start
immediately following the vespers lo
work on tho campaign. Every Uni
if sity woman will be given an oppor
t unity to contribute to the fund.
Nebraska in China is the name tf
a pamphlet which will be distributed
to the audience at vespers. It con
tains facts about the work of Gracr
Coppock in China.
A picture of Grace Coppock will be
given to evtry girl who makes a
pledge during the campaign.
The workers will meet for luncheon j
at Ellen Smith Hall at noons begin j
ning Wednesday. Itcports will be
made and Mrs. Eddy and Miss Lowry
will speak.
