Seventy mombcra and guessta attend
ed an. open meeting of Talladlan So
ciety held Friday evening at Palla
dlan Hall. Valentino decorations were
used. The following program was
given: Whistling solo, Julia Street
er; dance, Esther Ellen Fuller; cornet
solo, Merrill Sloot; reading, Esther
Hanson; song, Talladian Double Quartet.

The high school Y. W. C. A. glrla
who were in Lincoln for the annual
high school girls conference were the
guests of the University Y. V. C. A.
at a tea Saturday afternoon In Ellen
Smith Hall. Miss Clairo McKlnnon
and members of the cabinet received
the guests. About three hundred girls
called during the afternoon.

Acacia.
Acacia entertained one hundred
twenty-five couples at its annual Foun
ders' Day party at the Scottish Kite
Cathedral Friday evening. The ball
room was decorated with evergreen
and pink roses. Piano lamps wore
placed about the outside of the room
and a fountain playing oor a bank
of fern leaves occupied the center of
the room. A rising moon, and spot
light effect featured several of Hit
dances. Punch and ice cream were
served as refreshments.
Chaperons were: Prof, and Mrs.
Geo. It. Chatburn, Prof, and Mrs. E.
II. Barbour, Mr. and Mrs. Orville An
drews, Mr. and Mrs. II. F. Schulte.
Out-of-town guests were: Alois El
well and Joe Elwell, Springfield;
Duane Walrath, Albion; Carl Ganz,
Alvo; Ira von Fonell, Chester; Mr.
and Mrs. E. Z. Hornberger, and Frank
Kohn, Omaha; Glen Graf, Kansas
City; Arnold Minor, Graf; and Mr.
and Mrs. B. A. Young, Hot Springs,
South Dakota.
Beta Theta PI
Beta Thetn H entertained fifty
couples at a Valentine danco at the
chapter house Friday evening. Ice
cream, wafers nnd punch were served.
Out-of-town guests wore: Carl Kaul
and Bill Arnott and Bill Dutton. Chap
erons were Mr. and Mrs. Walt Wilson.
ENGAGEMENT .
Johnsen-Warner.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Johnson of Su
perior have announced the engage
ment of their daughter, Agnes, to
Julius II. Warner of Butte, Montana.
The Easter wedding will take place
March 30 at the Johnson home. Miss
Johnson is a graduate of Ferry Hall
'ind attended the University of Ne
braska in 1917 and 1918. She Is a
member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Mr.
Warner Is a graduate of tho University
of Wisconsin.
Andrews-Hart.
The marriage of Miss Bertha An
drews and Charles Hart took place
Thursday at the home of the bride's
brother, Vern I). Andrews, in College
View. Mrs. Hart is the daughter of
Mrs. Blanche Andrews of Lincoln. Mr.
Hart is a University student and a
member of Sigma Nu. Mr. Moore, a
fraternity brother of Mr. Hart, acted
;;c best man. Mr. and Mrs. Hart will
live at 2120 O Street for a time after
their return from a short wedding trip.
Cobb-Johnson.
Announcements have been received
in Lincoln from Mr. and Mrs. William
Howard Cobb of Fort Worth, Texas,
of the marriage of their daughter,
Marjorie, to Horace E. Johnson. The
wedding took place February 19 at
the bride's liOiiie. Tli couple will
make their home at Fort Worth. The
bride attended the University of Ne
braska and the University School of
Music. She is a member of Gamma
Phi Beta.
