Mrs. Samuel R. McKelvie, first lady
of Nebraska, entertained the members
of the University Dramatic Club and
University Players at a fancy dress
masquerade ball Thursday night In
the executive mansion. Before the
dancing began, a number of University
Players presented scenes from Bern
ard Shaw's "Pygmalion." Eleanore
Fogg and Rudyard Norton played the
leading roles. About sixty guests at
tended. . The ballroom on the third
floor of the mansion was the scone
of dancing. The costumes were gor
geous and variscolored.

at Convocation on "The New
Social Order."
Convocation will be held today at
11 o'clock In the Temple theatre
when Prof. Harry F. Ward of the
Union Theological Seminary will
speak. The special convocation has
been called because Dr. Ward will be
In Lincoln today only. He is a
noted sociologist and is widely known
over the country for his advanced
ideas.
Dr. Ward is professor of Christian
Ethics in the Union Theological
Seminary and has spent a great deal
of his time studying the present day
ndustrlal problems.
