Phi Gamma Delta.
Phi Gamma Delta entertained thirty
couples at a dance at the chapter
hoUBe Saturday evening. The fall
party idea was carried out in decora'
uons or autumn leaves. The frater
nity colors, purple and white, were
also used. The chaperons were Mr,
and Mrs. Brody Proctor and Mr. and
Mrs. Don Bell. Out-of-town guests
were Jay Burns of Omaha, Mr. Loucks
of Nebraska City and Mr. Brown of
Omaha.
XI Psi Phi.
XI Fsi Phi was host to forty-five
couples at a house dance Saturday
evening. The house was attractively
decorated in lavender and cream;
these colors were employed in the
light shades. The chaperons were
Dr. and Mrs. R. S. Sturdevant and
Dr. and Mrs. B. L. Wildman. Dr. and
Mrs. Carr of Osceola and Dr. and
Mrs. McGregor of College View werr
out-of-town guests.
Achoth.
Twenty-five couples attended the
dance given by Achoth at the chapter
house Saturday evening. The entire
evening was devoted to dancing.
Light refreshments were served. The
chaperons were Mr. and Mrs. H. J
Young. Miss Bernice Bushee of Fair
field was the only out-of-towrl ewpat
Alpha Tau Omega.
A delightful fall party was the
house dance given by Alpha Tau
Omega Saturday evening. Forty
couples attended. The first floor of
the chapter house was converted into
a veritable rustic autumn scene.
Brilliantly colored leaves were scat
tered everywhere. Standing out
among the leaves were Nebraska corn
stocks. The dancing was interrupted
by a musical program rendered by
E. F. Bush on the eaxaphone, accom
panied by Mr. Powell at the piano.
Light refreshments were served. Mr.
and Mrs. Guy E. Reed were chaperons.
Out-of-town guests were Eugene
Moore of York and W. 0. Johnson of
Omaha.
Kappa Kappa Gamma entertained
about fifty couples in honor of their
Pledges Friday evening. Hallowe'en
colors, jack o' lanterns, autumn leaves
(tnd corn stocks helped to carry out a
very attractive scheme. Favors of
red and blue bordered handkerchiefs
frr the men and blue wooden beads
for the girls were given. Candied
apples, doughnuts and apple cider
were appropriate refreshments. Mrs,
E. W. McHenry chaperoned. Miss
foulFo McCune of Omaha was the
only out-of-town guest.
Delta Sigma Delta.
A house dance was given by Delta
Sigma Delta Friday evening in honor
of the pledges. Thirty-four couples
were present. The decorative scheme
was In red and blue, the fraternity
colors. Light refreshments were
served.- Dr. and Mrs. M. E. Vance,
Dr. and Mrs. F. W. Albrecht and Dr.
and Mrs. Victor Coulter acted as
chaperons.
Gamma Phi Beta.
Gamma Thl Beta entertained forty
couples at a house dance Saturday
evening. The decorations wero the
usual Hallowe'en and fall colors
Light refreshments were served. Miss
Ethel Whalen of Omaha was the only
out-of-town guest. Mrs. Sam Waugh
chaperoned.
Alpha Chi Omega.
A house dance was given by Alpha
Chi Omega in honor of their Fresh
men Saturday evening. Red roses
formed an attractive decoration. Light
refreshments were served. Miss De
Lama Sambert of Omaha and Miss
Loraine Saleman of Culbertson were
the out-of-town guests. Mrs. T.
Heman' chaperoned.
Phi Delta Theta.
Phi Delta Theta entertained fifty
couples Saturday evening in honor of
their pledges. The fraternity colors,
blue and white, were cleverly used
as a feature of the party. They were
carried out not only in the decora
tions, but in the favors and the re
freshments. Out-of-town guests were
Robert Anderson of Omaha, James
Marshall of Fremont, Willard Lau,
Jr. of Fremont, Jay Rogers of Omaha
and Richard Johnson of Fremont.
Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Ryons and Mr.
and Mrs. F. D. Lau chaperoned.

Izetta Smith, of Omaha, will be a
week-end visitor in Lincoln.
Mary Taylor, of Grand Island, will
visit in Lincoln the latter part of the
week.
Harriette Muneke, ex-'21, has re
turned from a summer's study at the
Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. It is
?aii she did unusual work for a be
ginning student. She studied under
Professor Ralph Grell aud Signor
Moni. ' She is now instructor of art
at the School of Agriculture.
Miss Virginia Springer, of Kansas
City, has been the house guest of Mr.
and Mrs. Myron D. Noble for the past
week. Miss Springer formerly took
work in dramatic art at the Univer
sity and for the past two seasons she
has been on the legitimate stage. Her
first season was spent on the Keith
circuit with Dorothy Shoemaker in
"Life." Later she played with Gaston
Glass in "Blind Man's Bluff." Mr.
Glass will be remembered for his re
markable characterization in "Humor
esque." Sigma Phi Epsilon announces the
pledging of William Jagger, Gothen
burg; and Verne Lewellen, Lincoln.
C. B. Scott, '14, was a visitor at
the Sigma Phi Epsilon house over the
week-end.
Margaret Rosenstihl, '22, spent the
week-end with her parents in Gretna.
