Football prospects at Notre Dame University were given a nasty back spin today when the University fac ulty declared George Gipp and Leon ard Bahan, stellar members of the champion 1919 team, ineligible for further competition. Gipp was an all-western halfback last season and his sensational for ward passing figured prominently in winning the western title for Notre Dame.
