with an eye of suspicion by a few
doubling sophomores.
The sophomores have taken heart
again after the preliminaries last
nisht. The sentiment of the class was
voiced last nighl when Chairman
Lawlor said: "Things certainly iook
belter than they did this time last
night. Although we are greally out
numbered, the points and contests
have been arranged so that this will
not give the freshmen an advantage.

The organization of V. W. C. A. dis
cussion groups was the theme of
Thursday's vespers, when Miss Paul

ing the subject. Miss Ada Stidworthy,
the leader, explained the purpose and
the details of organization and the
girls were asked 1o sign up for the
classes. A whistling solo by Miss
Florine Reed was appreciated by the
audience as an unusual treat.
A large percentage of the girls at
vespers enrolled in discussion groups.
Others kept the cards for enrollment,
promising to sign and hand them 'n
laier at the Y. W. C. A. room. wh"-e
girls are bein enrolled all week.
Miss Lenora Miller, of the PiWe
study department of the Methodist
churches of Lincoln, will have change
of the organization. University f,irls
