March 14
One hundred couples attended the
Achoth formal Friday evening at the
Lincoln Hotel. The hall was deco
rated with pink shaded lamps and
palms. The party was chaperoned by
Dean and Mrs. Carl Engberg, Prof,
and Mrs. G. R. Chatburn, Prof, and
Mrs. E. H. Barbour, Prof, and Mrs.
Tier, Dr. and Mrs. Vance, Mr. and Mrs.
II. E. Mason, Dean Amanda Heppner,
and Miss Louise Munshaw. Among the
out-of-town guests were: Mrs. Bess
Sheldon Lehmer, Dakota City; Carrie
Moodie, West Point; Margaret Lewis
and Anna Snyder, Omaha; Vernie
Moseman, Emerson-; Marion Sheldon,
Hyannis; Mrs. Boyd Rice, Beatrice;
Lucy Jefferies, Broken Bow; Roberta
Chipperfield, Norfolk; Gretchen Mack
prang and Elsie Hoberg, Plattsmouth;
Helen Simon Parks, Esther Fetterman
and Ruth Fetterman, Hebron.
Delta Zeta entertained twenty cou
ples at a house dance Friday evening.
The decorations were In green. Dr.
Corrine Larimore, Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Hamer and Dr. and Mrs. J. R. Davis
were the chaperons. Mrs. M. C. Hegge
of Manhattan, Kansas, and Bess Ertle
of Geneva were out-of-town guests.
Sigma Phi Epsilon entertained
twenty-five couples Friday evening at
the chapter house. The decorations
carried out the idea of St. Patrick's
Day. The chaperons were Lieut. Wal
lenberg, Lieut. Arthur Bales, Mr. and
Mrs. Leland Dale, Mr. and Mrs. and
Doane Pickering. ,
Thirty-five couples attended the
house dance given by Sigma Chi Fri
day evening. The house was decorated
in blue and gold, the fraternity colors.
The chaperones were Mr. and Mrs.

Initiation banquet Saturday evening.

and alumnae attended. The decora

ning. The thirty-five couples attend
ing were chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs.
A. B. Davis of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs.
P. F. Piel, Miss Amanda Heppner and
Miss Annetle Anderson.
Beta Theta Pi entertained thirty
couples at a house dance Saturday eve
ning. Mr. and Mrs. William Folsom,
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Talbot, and Mr.
and Mrs. John Roseborough chap
eroned. The out-of-town guests were:
