Electrician recovers frm injury
R. J. Kirk, campus electrician, who
was severely burned several weeks
ago at the University power plant,
ts now able to be out. He visited the
campus for a few minutes Tuesday.
He will have the complete use of both
arms and hands, although It was
feared for some time that his left
band would have to be amputated.

NOW HAS TEN PIECES;
MORE PLAYERS NEEDED
Orchestra rehearsals will be held

evenings In the Art gallery at seven
o'clock. The orchestra ts now made
up of ten pieces and Is directed by
Mr. Wm. T. Quick, assistant director
of the state band.

Question 2 Some one is telling that
we will use large guns which were
made for Russia, but were never ship
ped to them. Is there any truth in this
rumor? F. B.
Answer Some one has a good pro
ductive imagination. We have never
heard of such guns. The guns to be
used are regular V. S. style.
Question 3 Will the S. A. T. C. men
be barracked and messed right away?
J. S.
Answer Five hundred men wilt be
messed commencing Wednesday. The
rest will be handled as accommoda
tions are completed. T. A. Williams is
now awaiting the arrival of $17,000
worth of cooking and eating utensile.
It will not be long before all the men
will be taken care df. The barracks
will be ready soon. Watch for an
nouncements. Question A Why were those who
registered before September 12 not
taken in the S. A. T. C?
Answer The military authorities
at Washington thought that the Octo
ber draft would be Interfered with,
if all the prospective men were taken
in. However, those left out will be
handled in a satisfactory manner after
October 15.
