STUDENTS GIVEN TRY AT BIG CITY PAPER Ohio Daily Lantern Staff Edits Columbus Citizen for Day Reporting for work at 6:30 o'clock and getting out seven editions of the Columbus Citizen was the work done by the staff of the Ohio Dally Lantern, ffhis is the third time that the staff has handled a downtown paper, doing all of the planning and covering all of the news themselves. Even the edi torials were written by the students. Editors and department heads, with a band of reporters plumed so that all of the "time" news was set up on Fri day and only the usual "spot" news and daily reporting was left for Satur day. All of the usual "beats" were covered by the student reporters, the mayor was interviewed, the telegraph newB was edited, drafted men and slackers were listed and "real-for-sure" edltorals were gotten out. The staff of the Ohio State At its last meeting the Nebraska branch of the association of collegiate alumnae decided to offer a scholarship of ,$100 to a woman who is attending the University of Nebraska for the 1918-19. The following are the rules required of the applicant: 1. An applicant must be in either her freshman or sophomore year at the date of application When she holds the scholarship she must be either a sophomore or a junior. 2. An applicant must have been and be wholly or in part self-supporting. 3. An applicant must be a regularly enrolled student in tlfe University of Nebraska. She must have a good standing at the date of application. 4. An applicant must have some interests-in the general school activities and a high scholarship average. 6.
