About thirty-five couples will attend
the party given by Phi Kappa Psi at
the chapter house. Mr. and Mrs.
Reginald Woodruff will chaperone.
Xi Psi Phi expects to entertain
twenty-five couples at a dance at the
house. The chaperones will be Mr.
and Mrs. John Bennett, Dr. and Mrs.
Clyde Davis, Dr. and Mrs. George
Sturdeva,nt and Mr. and Mrs. D. E.
Brown.
About fifty-five couples will be pres
ent at the party given by Delta
Upsilon. Dr. and Mrs. E. S. Wenger
and Mrs. Samuel Waugh will chaperone.
Lucile Clark will spend Saturday at
her home in Stella.
Clara Dodds, '16, of Cheyenne, Wyo.,
Is visaing at the Delta Zeta house.
Katherlne Dodge will spend the end
of the week at her home in Fremont.
Elsie Haberg will visit at her home
In Nebraska City Saturday and Sun
day. Dorothy Wetherald will visit her
parents in Hebron Saturday and Sun
day. Mr. A. E. Sheldon will visit his
daughter, Marian, Saturday and Sun
day. Opal Nuss expects to visit her par
ents In Sutton the latter part of the
week.
Mrs. Edward Langland of Billings,
Mout., is visiting at the Chi Omega
house.
Florence Bishop will visit at her
home In Central City Saturday and
Sunday.
Frances Malm, '20, of Wisconsin uni
versity arrived Thursday to attend the
University.
Sylvia Prokes left Thursday for
Schuyler, Neb., where she will spend
a few days.
Florence Ebbersou expects to spend
tho end of the week In Oakland with
her parents.
Katharine Newbranch has recov
ered from the measles and will spend
the end of the week in Omaha.
Lula Haskell will leave todav for
Omaha where she intends to spend the
end of the week with her mother.
Mary Hedrick will leave this after
noon for Tecumseh "where she will
visit her parents Saturday and Sun
day. Fay Davis of Hamburg, la., arrived
this week to enter the University.
She is from the University of Missouri.
Bernice Nelson, Margaret McCoy,
Elizabeth Sturdevant and Helen Wahl
expect to spend the latter part of the
week in Omaha.
Hildenard Clinton of North Platte,
Esther Bell Wheeler of New Tork, and
Myra Buntz of Shenandoah, la., are
visiting at the Kappa Kappa Gamma
house.
Le Roy Rhodes. '12, was visiting yes
terday at the Bushnell Guild house.
He will enter the School of Military
Aereonautics at Cambridge, Mass., Feb
ruary 16.
Henry P. Diekman, chief chemist of
the Northwestern Portland Cement
Co., of Mason City, la., called on the
members of the applied mechanic's de
partment, Thursday.

Commercial Club Elects
Officers for New Term
The University Commercial club
held a business meeting last night, to
make arrangements and lay plans for
the new semester. The following of
ficers were selected: President, C. E.
Hinds; vice-president, 'M. L. Springer;
secretary, Fred N. Hellner; treasurer,
Wilson Bryan s.
The club also laid out an active and
extensive program to be followed for
the new term. Definite plans for this
work will be completed and the actual
work will be commenced as soon as
possible.
