The department of electrical engi
neering has received a teu-kllowat
synchronous for use In the labora
tories in changing electricity from an
alternating to a direct current. The
machine was made by the General
Electric company, and is of the most
modern type.
Will Attend Anniversary
Of Indian Treaty
Prof. A. E. Sheldon leaves today for
Crawford. Neb., to attend the North
western Nebraska Teachers' associa
tion and the D. A. K. commeratlon of
the famous treaty with the Sioux In
dians in which they ceded northwest
ern Nebraska and the Dlack Hills to
the whites.
A delegation of Indians from Tine
Ridge, Red Cloud's son and among
them some of the old men who signed
the treaty, will be present. Prof.
Harold Cook of the geological depart
ment will show lantern slides of the
northwest nt the H. A. R. meeting.
Delian Literary Society
There will be a meeting of the
Delian Literary society, in the ban
quet room of the Temple, at 8 o'clock

University Girls' Tea
Dean Amanda Heppner will be hos
tess at the fourth tea for All-University
