Ella Williams, '16, of Buffalo,,
Wyo., visited alumni headquarters
yesterday on her way to Chicago
with her mother.
Prof. Grace G. Denny, '07, profes
sor of home economics. University
of Washington, at Seattle, writes the
alumni secretary: "We have a can
tonment for naval militia on the
lower campus (the -old golf links),
of 1,000 men. One department will
give them work in camp cooking and
in cooking for invalids. Everything
Is emergency work."

attorney Greeley county. Tribune,
Kan.
Bess A. Richards, '09, is court re
porter at Crete.
Louis W. Horne, '16. Is instructor
in the department of science of the
Kearney high schol. He writes the
School of Agriculture
Registration in the School of agri
culture will be held October 12 and
13 at the state farm. Classes will
begin Monday.
Junior Class Meeting
The meeting of the Junior, class
called for Thursday morning has been
postponed until Tuesday morning on
account of the football rally. JEAN

Catholic Students' Initiation
The Catholic Students' club will
hold its annual initiaton of new mem
bers, Frday- evening, October 12 at
the Robbers' caves. 'Meet at 10th
and O streets at 7:15 o'clock.
Unversity Facuty Women
A meeting of the. University faculty
women will be held Friday evening,
October 12. 1917, at the Scottsh Hite
temple, 15th and L streets. Every
one is expected to bring yarn, knit
ting needles or a crochet hook and
15 cents. The committee in charge
are Misses Anderson, Grant, Mun
son. Nelson and Odell.
Football Ushers
All football ushers will report at
the athletic field Saturday at 1:45
o'clock. Students who have not been
assigned and who wish to usher
should call at the Awgwan office be
tween 3 and 5 o'clock any afternoon.

CHORUS CLOSES
TOMORROW NIGHT
A large number of men have regi
stered for the chorus this week but
more are needed. Registration will
close tomorrow night and all tnose
who intend to enter should see Mrs.
Carrie B. Raymond concerning regi
stration before that time.
The next rehearsel will be held
Monday evening in Art hall at 7
o'clock.
