In his address to the Association at Salt Lake, in January, 1914, made especially favorable comment on
the up-to-date service and facilities in the handling of sheep at South Omaha.
SINCE THE STATEMENT THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER IMPROVEMENTS MADE
Assistant Secretary of Agriculture, Carl Vrooman,
Washington, D. C, in his speech before over 2,000
Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben, in their famous "Den"
at Omaha, July 12, 1915, stated that a visit to
the South Omaha Yards would reveal to the vis
itor "Stock Yards that are models of the World. "
South Omaha Live Stock Exchange, In a communi
cation to the Board of Directors of the Stock
Yards company commend the Stock Yards com
pany in making the extensive improvements that
have been made during the past six years, stat
ing their clients can now patronize the "Best
Equipped Stock Yards in the Country. "
These statements (which are only a few among many from shippers and others interested in the Live
Stock business after visiting and inspecting the South Omaha Yards) would never have been made if they
were not facts.
