The first half wa fast and furious. The A. T. O.'s got an early lead of three baskets, but the Beta forward, Flothow wriggled through for a cou ple, which overcame the lead. An other basket by the A. T. O.'s and two ringers by the Betas tied the score. A foul goal gave the A. T. O.'s another point, making the score at the end of the first half, 9 to 8, in the A. T. O.'s favor. The second half, both teams came back strong. 'The ball was in play a long time before a score was made, a goal by Flothow and a foul gave the Betas a two-point lead. A ringer and a goal made the lead greater. The A. T. O.'s came back with two baskets at the end of the second per iod, which -won the game. Final score, 18 to 15. The lineup: B. T .P. A. If by chance any one of the eighty women, who are at present on the basketball squad, breaks a training rule, the honor system requires her to report that fact. Even examination week or big social events like the junior promenade do not excuse the break ing of rules. r Women In training are limited to one- dance a week. They are re quired to have eight consecutive hours of sleep every night, and may eat nothing between meals except fruit, plain Ice cream, white and graham crackers, or milk. Pie-crust, hot breast, tea, coffee and candy are prohibited. INSURANCE LOAN FUND GIFT OF SENIOR MEN Chicago Uni. 25 Years Old An insurance policy, the proceeds of which will be used as a loan fund for needy students, will form the me morial of the men of the senior class at the University of Wisconsin this year. Girls Pay for Dance At Kansas this year, the women, as well as the men, will be asked to pay for the junior party. Several soror ities have already promised . their share. The celebration of the quarter-centennial of the University of Chicago, it is now definitely announced, will take place from Friday, June 2, to Tuesday, June 6. The original dates decided upon were June 9-13, but on account of the meeting in Chicago of the republican and progressive na tional conventions on June 7 the uni versity's celebration of its twenty fifth anniversary has been put for ward one week. A large general committee of ar rangements and fifteen other commit tees are now actively engaged in preparations for the appropriate cele bration of this significant event in the educational history of Chicago and the country the organization of the Uni versity of Chicago twenty-five years ago.
