Botany Seminar Lecture
The Botany Seminar will meet
Thursday evening la the botanical lec
ture room. Prof. Weaver will presen
a paper on the subject, "Effect of Cer
tain Rusts upon the Transportation of
Their Host Plants." All botany stu
dents and any others Interested are

Dr. Winifred Hyde will 6peak to the
Omaha Woman's club at Omaha, De
cember 13. She will speak on a psy
chological subject.
George P. Luckey a Visitor
George P. Luckey, A. B., '10, A. M.,
'12, who has been connected with the
Carnesrle Astronomical institute on
ML Washington, Pasadena, Cal., for
some time, visited In Lincoln with
home folks last week. He was on his
way to Cleveland, Ohio, where he
has accepted the Brush Fellowship In
the National Electro-Physical Research
laboratories.
Polity Club Meeting
The World Polity club will meet to
night at 8 o'clock in the Political
Science Seminar. Walter Hixenbaugh,
'16, will make his report on the World
Polity convention, held at Cornell last
summer, to which he was a Nebraska
delegate.
.. LeRossignol Chess Champion
Prof. J. E. LeRossignol won state
championship in rapid fire chess at
the Y. M. C. A. recently. The title
was held last year by Prof. H. B. Alex
ander, who was not in the city at this
time. A large number of men from
all over Nebraska and a few from
Iowa contested. .
