A very sad accident happened In the
Nebraskan office today as a result of
a too ambitious news gathering policy.
One of the hopeful and good-natured
young scribes was assigned the tre

news of the present conflict now rag
lng among our European brethren.

ports. When he arrived he was In
formed that the Russian offensive was
being pushed very vigorously by Gen
eral Pzzcresgahniovitch along the
Wshtulindh and Awfgrtusn rivers.

One of the Few Stops Made on Way
to California Exposition Will
Be at Lincoln
The Damrotich Symphony Orchestra
of New York has been engaged for the
California Exposition. It wil make
very few stops, but one of these will
be Lincoln. It the University chorus
Is large It is hoped that It may be
arranged for it to sing with the or
chestra in the Ninth Beethoven Sym
phony. This would make a fitting
climax to the symphony program.
Some choral work of high value will
be given in any case.
Members of the chorus obtain free
admission to the May Festival.
