However, they promptly lost the ball on a fumble, giving Halligan a chance to punt out of danger. Captain Halligan placed another feather in his already crowded cap by scoring a drop-kick ou the second play of the fourth quarter. The kick was made from the twelve-yard line and was not very difficult, neverthe less it was a real bona fide drop-kick, and added three points to our score. Nebraska used seven substitutes during the game, not because of in juries to the regulars, but to give the subs experience. Chamberlain was the Cornhuskers' most successful ground-gainer, having two touchdowns to his credit, while Rutherford and Potter each had one and Halligan had his drop-kick. The goals were kicked by Halligan. A tailor in 'New York advertised: "Ladies' suits made, with or without goods." No, moralists, we but, reaiiy, this is going too far! Scarlet and Black. We wish to quietly call your atten tion to the result of the Gopher- Coyote game. The score was 29-7 in favor of Minnesota. We shall reserve comment until tomorrow. The Huskers should have had at least three more touchdowns, had it not been for penalties inflicted for holding. That ought to prove to the men that more will be lost than gained by such tactics. Tufts College held her to two touchdowns and scored one, making the count 13-6 in favor of Harvard. Brickley is out for the rest of the season with typhoid fever. Pennsylvania University staged her regular annual come-back Saturday by defeating the Navy 13-6. The week before she had suffered what was supposed to be a crushing defeat at the hands of little Franklin and Marshall. Michigan got a little revenge for last year's defeat at the hands of the strong Michigan Aggies when she scored three to the Aggies' nothing, Saturday. We shall have to take care of that Aggie bunch here at Lincoln next Saturday. Yale's chances for the Eastern championship grow brighter, as the weeks roll by. It was doped that Notre Dame would give her a tremen dous struggle. But Yale's superiority was clearly proved by the score which was 28-0 in her favor. Another surprise was the result of the K. U.-Drake game. It was thought that the Jayhawks would have trouble scoring on the Des Moines Bulldogs, but the fact is that they scored five touchdowns to one for Drake. This would seem to indi cate that the championship of the Missouri Valley will lie between the Jayhawks and the Cornhuskers.
