"Kaw, Knw. A W V, W A N !" cried old Mr "Javhawk" this morning out in trout of the "klbohli " "Shell out that four-bit piece." But the startled few positively refused to shell. And so old "Jayhawk" decided to have a little fun with paBsersby. Names wero not spared in the old bird's efforts to corner the elusive "kale" but said "kale" is still at large. Much speculation was offered con cerning just who was the voice of "Jayhawk," but everybody was certain when one of the recent politicians took hold of the tube and laughed for the bird. This was the only real en tertaining part of tho affair. Perhaps the bird is again in his grave. Per haps he will stay there for a time. Sport Notes.
