Law sudonts are expected to turn out en masse tonight in support of the demonstration being planned. And there is no doubt about their doing it. But academic students and Industrial students as well, who have any appre ciation for a man like tho present Dean of tho Law School, and who have tho Interests of the wholo school In mind, will not fall to lend a hand with genuine enthusiasm. Tho loss of Dean Poud would bo a University loss. Such occasions as these have been exceedingly raro at Nebraska. They are what Is needed to rouse us, to foster' some of that much-talked-of college spirit. So lot this one bo grasped. Furthermore, lot It bo grasped so hard that something will happen as a result. The movement toward alumni or ganizations Is spreading and is being pushed also by tho University Jour nal. By reaching tho old students, the magazine should prove very effective. It advocates the movement in part as follows: "Increasing numbers and maturing influence will make our graduates tho natural guardians of the Unlersity's Interests In all communities, of the state. Tho growth of mu tual interest and responsibility is just now the most desirable end within our power. Tho University of Nobraka ,does not need dollars as much as It needs the harmonious and hearty co operation and confidence and affection of all Its graduates." A Communication. To the Nebrnskan: I read tho letter of Mr. O. A. Ben edict In tho Nebraskan today. I felt extremely sorry to know such nn American experience in my country nnd being under such condition. I thought of sending a short write-up to the Nebraskan In which I would like to express tho faults of some of my country people. I am not a Tagalo myself, but I think I have an idea of them and the people of the Philippine Islands in general. There are people in my country, I am sorry to say, who could not speak Spanish but "S"; "No" and "Buenos dlaa." They do not know even a word In English. These people never thought that the strangers could un derstand them, for the majority of strungers do not try to learn our dialects, and tho consequence is that when they meet a stranger there will be "nothing doing," and the stranger would think that they hate him and tho ground he walks on. I know I havo that kind of feeling in this country, myself, but I do not take it very seriously. They have never even thought that tho Amer icans understand Spanish. Allow me to say then that I would like the Americans not to 'take this as a serious matter. I thank you. D. URTULA. Shaw, the Editor.
